Students
Recognized for Solar Smart Phone App
Students
from Desert Vista High School in Ahwatukee recently won a $5,000 prize
for their school and are now competing for another $15,000 thanks to a
smart phone app they developed to track energy from solar panels..

Solar Job Census 2013
According
to the 4th Annual Solar Jobs Census from The Solar Foundation Arizona
is second in the U.S. for solar jobs, despite a 13 percent decline in
solar jobs in 2013. The Solar Foundation report shows that Arizona
solar companies shed 1,200 workers last year.

Solano
Largest Solar Plant Completed in '13
The
US installed a record 2.3GW of utility-scale solar in 2013, according
to analyst firm SNL Energy. The largest was the 250 MW Solano Project
near Gila Bend.
